Clara's 10 Month Updates

10 months.

Size: 6-9m
Sleep: My sweet girl has FINALLY started sleeping through the night. PRAISE! She takes 2 naps a day as well.
Food: Clara started eating solid foods this month. She really LOVES to eat. She eats pretty much everything I fix her.

This month was really fun. In my mind she became a big baby, not just a baby. She's still pulling up and crawling around everywhere, so I'm not sure what changed to make her seem bigger. She started eating solid foods this month and, my goodness, this girl can eat! She eats way more than Landin. She is actually encouraging Landin to eat more and try different foods because she eats everything. I think with the food intake, she's grown a lot.

This month we celebrated Thanksgiving with friends and family. It was so great. First we celebrated with the kid's friends. We are so thankful to be surrounded with such great people. I could not do life without these kids and their wonderful mom's. On Thanksgiving Day, we drove to Chapel Hill/Raleigh to visit with family. Clara didn't nap very well, but did great the whole day. I really loved her turkey shirt!! Thankful we only have to drive to see family. I'm not sure I'm ready for planes yet.

This month Clara also got her first ear infection. :( It was awful. She ran a low grade fever for a couple days and then woke up one morning with a super high fever. I took her in to the doctor and she had an ear infection. Then after I gave her the medicine, she threw it up. It was quite an ordeal. Poor girl was up a ton at night and didn't eat much for a few days. Glad we made it through and she hasn't had another one yet.

She is THE sweetest girl. So so so very thankful the Lord given her to us.

Christmas

Christmas this year was amazing! I have to start with saying how awesome it was to participate in Elevation's Christmas worship experiences. 1800 (yes, you read it right) stood to accept Jesus as their Savior. INCREDIBLE. Every number has a story, y'all, that's a person's life that has changed. WHOA. Pretty crazy to even type out. Love, love, love what the Lord is doing in our church.

Landin was SUPER into Christmas this year. He loved everything about it, from the Christmas lights, to visiting Santa, to our elf that came to see us every morning. Every day Landin would ask if it was Christmas day yet. He had the hardest time waiting! (don't we all!) On Christmas eve while we were driving home from my Bemaw's party, he told me "hurry mom, I need to go to sleep so Santa will come." Then when we got home he ran out into the driveway and looked up at a star and told me that was Santa and proceeded to yell up at the sky " Santa, whatcha doing up there?"

Christmas morning was amazing. We started the morning off reading about the birth of Jesus.

And he tried REALLY hard to listen, but kept inching towards the door.

SANTA CAME! Landin was so sweet and helped Clara open some presents.

Landin's favorite toy of Christmas morning was his remote control firetruck. He played with it so much!

Santa brought Clara her first baby doll and a stroller. The first toy she started walking with!

Santa brought Landin his first real bike!

My happy girl loved her new toys.

Uncle Matt with his favorite niece :)

Fishing poles for my boys. These have been so much fun. Brian takes Landin almost every day he is off. Such a great way to spend quality time.

She's going to kill me for putting this on here, but HA! My sister in law, Emily. She seriously is really great with my kids. :)

Crane!!

We have Christmas dinner at my Aunt's house every year. So many people! I love this so much because Brian's family joins mine. All of the people we love in one room!

Christmas day is exhausting. Clara didn't nap the entire day! I can't believe she held out, but she did great. Not a tear!  She did fall asleep before leaving my Aunt's neighborhood though. :)

In our neighborhood, this house does a light show that goes with music. I'd been meaning to take Landin all month, but never got around to it. Clara was asleep, so we decided to go check it out. What a show! Landin loved it. The grown-ups did too. :)

Morning after Christmas. My little girl is such a little mommy. She loves her baby dolls so much!

Daddy teaching Landin to ride his bike!!

It was a great Christmas. Couldn't believe all the love we were around all day. We are truly a blessed family! A little late, but Merry Christmas!!

Matt's Wedding Week 12/1-12/7

Well, this was a very exciting week! Started the week of with a mini party for my momma and ended the week at the beach. Our family rented a big beach house. It was fun to have good family time!

Celebrated my wonderful Momma's birthday at the beginning of the week! Landin is STILL talking about Nana's party, really he's just talking about the cake. The moment Nana walked in the door, Landin took it upon himself to take the cake off the counter and carry it into her. Luckily, he didn't drop it! Funny boy.

This face is a mess, but my goodness she is still so cute!

Cute girl getting ready for our family photo shoot. Goodness, she is the sweetest.

Sweet boy NEVER falls asleep in the car, but gave out on the way to Oak Island to Matt's wedding!

Clara snuggling with the groom. He's such a great uncle. :)

Bride and groom at the wedding venue! These two have been together since high school. Almost 8 years. I couldn't wait to have Emily become a Gilmore! She pretty much already was. :)

Rehearsal time. These two were so cute the entire weekend. Love was in the air for sure. So thankful my little brother found someone so special.

Mom and I at the wedding!

 Cute boy.

The wedding was smack dab in the middle of Clara's nap and she fell asleep at the reception. Love her snuggling with her Daddy!

Omg. He is just the cutest thing I have ever seen.

My heart.

Well, we had our first visit to the ER with Landin right after the wedding. He fell right onto the dresser. He was so brave and calm. Thankful for a great doctor and nurses. I actually ended up going to high school with one of our nurse's daughters. Small world! Glad we are past this and so thankful Brian was with us. Landin walked around proud of his band-aid for and now he will move his hair out of the way and say "My booboo looks great!" He's the best.
